Toy Story on Ice...

On Thursday, Dec. 2nd, we took the kiddos to the Greensboro Coliseum for Toy Story 3 on Ice. We all had a great time. I realized how much I need a better lens that will zoom in from far away. I really wanted to get in closer on the character's faces, etc. My camera still did an awesome job! The pictures were very clear and sharp! I have about 30 more of the show that I took, but I knew that most of you wouldn't care for all of that, so I'll spare you! :) But I am warning you...there are still a lot of pictures here so just skim through if you're not too interested on the different scenes! Jai didn't know quite what to expect. He just knew that we were there to see Toy Story! I wish I wouldve thought to video him when it all started. He was absolutely amazed!

Before the Show...

Zurg and BUZZ LIGHTYEAR! Jai was screaming and jumping up and down when he saw Buzz. I was so occupied with that...and I didn't get a good picture of Buzz flying in on his rocket. That made my day to see him that excited. Haha...

We were so happy with the show. It was a little long (2 hours!). I was surprised at how well the kiddos did after that long. They were entertained the entire time and they loved it!

This past Tuesday was supposed to be my last cake decorating class, HOWEVER, I was sick and unable to go. I had made about 50 out of the 75 poinsettia flowers that I needed to make for my final project. I intended to bake the cake, and decorate a cake later on in the week...but it's Saturday and I'm just now starting to get back to normal. I tossed all of the flowers, but snapped a quick photo so that you could see them. We were able to choose our own colors for the flowers, and I didn't have time to be very creative with that, as you can tell. I just had intended to keep them simple and not too tacky though!

Stay updated for some pictures of a FINISHED cake soon! I will need volunteers to help us eat it though! Anyone?

Thanksgiving 2010

I hardly got any good photos for Thanksgiving. We spent it at my mom's (as usual), and my Auntie Jill, Uncle Al, cousin Amy and her 2 kiddos Lilly and Mason came to celebrate with us.

We had a very nice dinner and I took no family pictures, which I totally intended to do. Jill was sick, and Amy was pretty tired from working 3rd shift. Oh well! I hope that I do a better job next time getting everyone gathered in front of the camera. My mom decorated her house really cute. I only got a shot of the "dessert table" before it was actually adorned with all of the desserts. So bad! :(

On Saturday, we went to Albemarle to have Thanksgiving with my dad's side of the family. My grandmother was admitted into the hospital the Tuesday before with pneumonia, and has since recovered BUT she wasn't able to join us for lunch. :(

This is the 2nd year that we've all gotten together with my grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. on my dad's side to celebrate. We had a great time anyways. It's always nice to see everyone, even if it is once a year. Afterwards, we visited my grandma (maw-maw) at her house and that was nice. I'm glad to see that she is doing better.
